YOST
was born __ ______ ____ in __________, and died between 18 March 1762, the
date his Will was written, and before 11 April 1762, the date his Will was
proved, at,
probably, Manheim Township, York County, Pennsylvania. He married
CHRISTINA _________ .
Conrad Yost's Will mentions one child, Herman, by name,
and indicates he had five or six living children. One of these children
may have purchased his farm from Conrad's estate.

of Conrad Jost proved
the 11th Day of April 1762
& George Trone affirmed
& George Matter sworn
as Exrs this same Day

In The Name of God Amen The Eighteenth
Day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty
two I Conrad Jost of Manheim Town Ship in the County of York &
Province of Pennsylvania Being Very sick and weak in Body but of perfect
Mind and Memory Thanks be Given unto God therefore calling unto Mind the
Mortality of My Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to
dye (sic) do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament That is to
say principaly and first of all I Give and recommend my Soul into the
Hands of God that gave it and for my Body I recommend it to the Earth to
by buried in a Christian Like and Decent manner at the discretion of my
Executor nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive
the same again by the mighty Power of God And as touching such worldly
Estate where with it hath please God to bless me in this Live (sic) I give
devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. Item it is my will and I do order that in the first Place all
my just Debts and funeral charges be Paid and Satisfied.
Item I give and bequeath unto
Christina my dearly beloved wife all my moveable estate with all the Haus
hoshold (Household) goods and all the Chatels and Hors Createssrs (?) that
belonged to me to Heir Her Heirs and assigns for ever item it is my will
and I do order that my son Herman shall have one Mear if he lives along
with his Mother till to his Each of twenty one years and that he is to
have in (?) when he is free Item it is my will and I do order that my wife
Christina shall have my Plantation where I now live on and that as Long as
she lives that she may do on the Plantation how esser she will heir Live
long at it(?) is my will and I do order that after my wifs Decease if my
yongest son is upon Each that the Plantation shall be given to that one of
my sons that will give the heyest Price for it and that money that is to
be given out shall be sheared among the Rest of my Five Children in Equell
Shear to one as much as to the other and that one that shall get the
plantation shall not have more than one of the rest Item I make and ordain
George Trone and George Matter to be my Hole and Sole Executors of this my
Last will and Testament And I do hereby utterly Disalow revoke and Disanul
all and every other former Testaments wills Legacies and Executors by me
in any way before this time Named willed and bequeathed Ratifying and
Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testament in Witness
where of I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the Day
and year above written. Signed

Before me one Samuel Johnston Esquire Deputy
Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration
in and for the County of York in the Province of Pennsylvania Personally
appeared Loudwick Solomon Miller and Jacob Runckle two of the Subscribing
Witnesses to the foregoing Instrument of Writing and on their Solemn oaths
respectively taken according to Law Do Depose and Say that they were
personally present and saw and heard the said Conrad Jost therein
mentioned Sign Seal publish and Declare the said Instrument of Writing as
and for his last Will and Testament and that at the Doing thereof the said
Conrad Jost was of sound and Disposing mind and memory and that the Said
Loudwick Solomon Miller Subscribed his Mark thereunto and the said Jacob
Runckle Subscribed his name thereunto as Witnesses to the same in the
Presence of the said Testator and at his request and that they did also
see Johannes Albright the other Witness thereunto Subscribe his name also
as a witness in the presence of the testator and at his request.
